.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.

Wind’s Throat incorporates various elements of hardware electronics combined with computer programming to create a link between the dancer's bodies and the sonic elements they are interacting with. This exploration allows the dancers to feel a more intricate connection with the music as they move through the light and as they trigger sounds with their feet. This innovative combination takes dance to a new level of performance where the dancers become musical composers of their own movement. The use of interactive technology allows me to create a bridge between sonic and visual elements.

Wind’s Throat also explores the duality that exists inside of me, in feeling volatile and ephemeral in a world in which I don’t belong while being strong and connected to the earth and my ancestors.
Diana Marcela Suarez-Vargashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11531505168484118514noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7525027837237416277.post-73884211014770987192007-11-30T21:13:00.000-08:002009-11-14T07:42:12.997-08:00Installation

Entre hojas/Between leaves is a sound installation with two monitors with video and contact microphones on the ground to capture the sounds of dried leaves as participants walk through the space.
